Study Dance at the VCA

VCA Dance emphasies artistry, performance, choreographic practice and research. It fosters creativity and innovation in cohesion with critical analysis of dance practice.

At undergraduate level students are trained in an intensive, collaborative, studio-based learning environment in key areas of classical and contemporary dance, choreography and performance. At graduate level students specialise in choreography or in dance research with a practical focus.

Specialist lecturers, guest lecturers, visiting choreographers and associations with a range of professional dance companies keep students in contact with the wider dance and performing arts sector.
