Over two days, this workshop will provide you with essential hints, encouragement, practical tools, and confidence to enable you to prepare to the best of your ability. The workshops are tailored specifically for VCE students and those planning to audition for the VCA Bachelor of Fine Arts (Theatre Practice) or other tertiary drama courses.

Shakespeare Monologues

Guided by an industry professional, this workshop will help take the fear out of approaching a Shakespeare text. You will learn learn skills to develop your ongoing preparation of Shakespeare texts for audition and discover how best to prepare a Shakespearean audition piece.

Shakespeare's language is immediate, energetic and vital – discover the writer’s clues, start to build your Shakespeare ‘tool kit’ and develop technical understanding of how to perform his text. You can gain simple ways to unlock the meaning of the text to ensure that you perform your best in your upcoming auditions!
