Are you planning to audition for a Music Theatre course at the VCA or elsewhere?

Then this essential workshop is for you! Led by the VCA’s Head of Music Theatre, specialist staff and graduates, this workshop will cover all elements of the music theatre audition.  Sessions on choosing and preparing your songs and monologues (both Shakespeare and contemporary) will fill your kit bag with essential knowledge and practical exercises and the day will end with a full dance call that will follow the format of a dance audition.

There will also be opportunities throughout the session for explanations of technical terms and points of focus. Our friendly graduates will give you the benefit of their experience and knowledge in helping you prepare mentally for combatting the stress of auditions so you can best enjoy the experience and show your true potential. You will leave the day with a clear understanding of what is required and how to implement a sound process of preparation in all three areas.

The knowledge you will gain will be transferrable to auditions for all undergraduate music theatre courses.
