Film & Television: Teenflix Summer School
Are you passionate about movies, filmmaking and wanting to express your individual creative voice through an exciting medium?
The VCA's Filmmaking Summer School Teenflix - our filmmaking course for teenagers (aged 13 – 18 years old) is perfect for you!
Located in the arts precinct at Southbank, this practical three-day filmmaking workshop, provides participants with an intensive introduction to this dynamic industry. Best of all, you will complete one mockumentary style exercise and two short films, all in just 3 days!
The teaching team is led by experienced industry professional, Andrew Blogg , who has been involved in film and video production since completing the Foundations Program at the Victorian College of the Arts, School of Film and Television, in 2002. Andrew has worked on numerous film and television productions, educational programs, music videos and promotional videos. Andrew’s first feature documentary entitled Camp 32 has screened at the Cambodian International Film festival (2015) in Phnom Penh and at the Cambodia Town Film Festival (2016) in Long Beach California.
Course participants will undertake a series of intensive practical filmmaking workshops, have the opportunity for shooting time in our state of the art film studios and try a variety of film roles including:
- 2nd Assistant Director,
- Camera Operator,
- Boomswinger and Grip.
