Applicants for the Bachelor of Fine Arts in any discipline must meet the following criteria:
- Successful completion of the VCE (or equivalent qualification);
- A study score of at least 25 in Units 3 and 4 English/English Language/Literature;
- A study score of at least 30 in Units 3 and 4 EAL.
There is no minimum ATAR requirement.
English Language Requirements
All applicants to the University of Melbourne must meet the outlined English language requirements for admission into their chosen course.
How do I apply?
There are four components to each application. You will be required to submit components 1-3 before the application closing date:
For domestic applicants, an application to VTAC
For international applicants, a direct application via the University's application portal*
*International students who are completing VCE or Year 12 equivalent in Australia must also apply through VTAC and complete their Supplementary Application Form as a domestic applicant.

A Faculty of Fine Arts and Music Supplementary form.
3. Physiotherapy Examination
You must undergo a physical examination by a qualified physiotherapist to establish your suitability to undertake dance training and submit a completed Physiotherapy Examination Form to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Include your full name and VTAC ID / University of Melbourne ID number in the body of your email.
